Have you ever wished you had someone to work with to achieve your career goals? It can be frustrating, time consuming, and lonely when you have big plans and no one to talk to about them. Maybe you want to find a new job, get a promotion, or effectively navigate office politics. Working with a career coach or mentor can help you get the things you really want, faster. Many people face a lot of pressure from family and friends about what position they have and how much money they are making. Most people have a lack of true support in with their career endeavors. You don’t have to be one of them.
Clients have described working with me as having job 911. A career coach can help you find your ideal career and attain the lifestyle you want. How would your life be different if you knew that you were on the right track and all of your hard work would pay off? Let’s discuss why having career support can make all the difference with your income and happiness!
When you make the decision to invest in yourself and hire a career coach, you can have an objective presence on your journey through the working world. A professional coach only has your best interest and goals in mind. While support from your family and friends is great, they are usually biased in their opinion and want whatever they think is best for you. Close friends and family can mean well but usually only offer advice from their point of view or background. What if you want to do something completely different, that they have never done before? That’s when finding outside support can be most effective.
While working with a career coach, you can explore other opportunities. How seriously have you considered your top job choices? Have you thought about your unique skills and talents and how utilizing them can help you make more money? You and your coach can really do a deep dive into your current position and see how you can make the most of it. A coach can also help if you are feeling stuck and address any fears you might have while creating success. The majority of people give up on their dreams once they experience an obstacle, with the support of a career coach you can determine the best course of action and keep going!
With solid support, you can stay focused on your goals and not get distracted by all of the “stuff” in your day-to-day life. Many people have trouble focusing their energy on what is most important. They are constantly dealing with interruptions, draining people, and trying to manage their stress. You can make work-life balance a priority while achieving your personal and professional goals. Most people I’ve worked with have said that career coaching was instrumental in their professional development.
If focusing on your career and income is a high priority, consider getting some support with a coach or mentor. Having an objective person in your life that is only concerned with your growth can help you strategize and move through any fear. Explore the opportunities in your career, let go of anything that is stopping you from moving forward, and attain the things you desire. How will you create a career support system?
