When you wake up in the morning and get ready for work, how do you feel?  Are you excited about the new day ahead?  Do you feel fulfilled, knowing that you’re passionate about your career and making the income you want?  Unfortunately, a lot of people I’ve spoken with recently are feeling stuck.  They are stressed out, worried, and feel like they are caught in a cycle of monotony.   This doesn’t have to be your reality!

Many of my clients want to get their career on track.  It isn’t difficult to start making changes to reach your goals and start living the lifestyle you want.  Here is where many people quit on themselves; you have to be serious and take consistent action.  I encourage you to read the following list with an open heart and open mind.  If you think, ‘I already know that.’  Then consider if you are really doing, living, and being that way.  If you aren’t where you want to be, chances are that there’s a disconnect somewhere.   Here are 15 ways to get your career on track…fast!

1. Get clear on your goals in your current position.  Are you on track to reaching them?

2. Believe in yourself and your abilities to achieve those goals.

3. Release any negative thoughts, feelings, or people who are stopping you from moving forward.

4. Research any skills that are needed for you to progress.

5. Plan out how to increase your skill set and grow your professional network.

6. Start learning new things and putting them into daily practice.

7. Create a support system of friends, family, coaches, and mentors.

8. Commit to being positive about your current situation and future prospects.

9. Explore new professional growth opportunities: supplemental courses, certifications, or degrees.

10. Decide if your current position is one you are passionate about.

11. Decide if your current income affords you the lifestyle you desire.

12. Make a plan to get from where you are now to where you want to be.

13. Visualize your success and affirm it regularly.

14. Take consistent, decisive action towards your goals.

15. Express gratitude for all that you have personally and professionally.

Which of these would make the greatest impact on you and your career?
